Hollywood Community Housing wants to express our sincere appreciation for the service of Glynn Turman who decided to step down from the board effective June 1st. Glynn served with an open mind and an open heart for the past 8 years and he will be sorely missed.
Glynn and his wife Jo-An share a commitment to philanthropy and community. Whether that community be affordable housing, serving youth through their cowboy camp, or the arts and film sector, they can be relied upon to represent and support each community to the fullest.
During Glynn’s service on HCHC’s board, the organization completed or started construction of 9 buildings, including 456 units of affordable housing. These building serve, or will serve when completed, people from all walks of life including homeless veterans and low-income families. Pictured below is Glynn at the ground breaking ceremonies for two of our most recent developments – the historic Paul R. Williams Apartments and Stanford Avenue Apartments.
Thank you Glynn for tirelessly sharing your time and talents with HCHC. A famous activist once said, “Wisdom is knowing what to do next; virtue is doing it.’†You are both wise and virtuous and we are very grateful for your service.
