HCHC’s Board Announces Leadership Transition

Hollywood Community Housing Corporation (HCHC) is thrilled to share exciting news about our future. On April 1, Victoria Senna will be promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Sarah Letts.

Under Sarah’s guidance, HCHC achieved remarkable milestones, including the completion of nine new buildings including 595 apartments, with five additional buildings in the predevelopment and construction phases for an additional 449 units of affordable and permanent supportive housing.  In 2021, HCHC launched a property management department that achieved economies of scale and positive net income.  She oversaw a quadrupling of the staff and the enhancement of resident services programs including Books, Backpacks and Bright Futures.

Victoria has almost fifteen years of experience with HCHC and is a respected leader in Southern California’s affordable housing community.  An adaptive reuse project in Los Angeles with a family member was her first hands-on exposure to real estate development – and she hasn’t looked back.  Victoria first joined HCHC in 2006 as a Project Manager, then moved to New Orleans in 2010 to contribute to post-Hurricane Katrina rebuilding efforts. She returned to HCHC in 2017 as the leader of HCHC’s housing development department.

Over the past 9 years, Victoria’s leadership has resulted in a near doubling of HCHC’s portfolio of affordable and supportive housing. She completed LISC’s Housing Development Training Institute and UCLA Extension’s Professional Designation in Construction Management.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Southern California Association of Non-Profit Housing (SCANPH).

Victoria has worked closely with Sarah Letts and HCHC’s senior leadership team for many years, maintaining strong relationships with staff, funders, partners, and public sector allies. Known as a rigorous problem-solver and collaborative leader, she is deeply committed to HCHC’s mission, organizational culture, and the residents and communities HCHC serves. We are confident that Victoria’s leadership will propel HCHC toward even greater impact and innovation.

HCHC’s Board unanimously selected Victoria Senna as the new CEO and Sarah Letts will continue to support the organization during the transition period to ensure continuity and long-term stability. HCHC looks forward to this next chapter under Victoria’s leadership and remains steadfast in its mission to create healthy communities through service-enriched affordable housing.
