HCHC was very pleased to be nominated for SCANPH’s 2019 Developer of the Year Award and for our Coronel Apartments to receive SCANPH’s Multi-Family Development of the year award! After about 10-years of fighting uphill battles, including a CEQA lawsuit, the talented architects at Killefer Flammang Architects (KFA), led by partner John Arnold, created a beautiful design that is mostly new construction and also incorporates a unique 100-year-old pueblo-style building into the site plan.
The 54 families who now call Coronel Apartments their home are thrilled to live in the heart of East Hollywood close to jobs, transportation, and services. Our Books Backpacks and Bright Futures (BBBF) program also has a new home at Coronel Apartments with the dedication of “The Brown Family Reading Room†where we hope to inspire a love for books and learning.
