Join the Fight Against Homelessness in Los Angeles County

with a Gift to Hollywood Community Housing

According to California Housing Partnership’s latest report, 499,430 low-income renter households in Los Angeles County do not have access to an affordable home. Nearly 80% of extremely low-income households are paying more than half of their income on housing costs compared to just 2% of moderate-income households. Renters in Los Angeles County need to earn $45.17 per hour – three times the City of Los Angeles minimum wage – to afford the average monthly asking rent of $2,349.

By making a generous gift to HCHC, you are making it clear that the dire need for affordable housing in Los Angeles County is not an issue on which you will stand idly by. Luckily, there are many ways you can show your generosity.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

Are you over the age of 72? Do you have an individual retirement account (IRA)?

If you answered “Yes” to these questions, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QDC) directly from your IRA to Hollywood Community Housing! A QCD can help you reach your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) without having to pay income taxes on the amount of your donation.

You save on your taxes and help HCHC provide affordable homes to low-income families and people experiencing homelessness.

For more information, visit here.

Must be paid directly from the IRA custodian/trustee to the non-profit. The donor cannot have a distribution made payable to them and then use those funds to donate to the charity.
