Step Up on Colorado (Kaufmann Apartments) is the new construction of 34 efficiency units targeting homeless individuals who frequently utilize Los Angeles County Department of Health Services programming. The building, located across the street from the new Expo Line extension and a few blocks from the Santa Monica shore and 3rd Street Promenade, was designed by Killefer Flammang Architects. Construction was completed in 2015. Step Up On Colorado achieved Platinum LEED-certification, the highest level of certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
